With stunning sets, sensational costumes, catchy tunes and wicked performances for children so young, Oz! certainly had it all.
The primary students from Years 4 to 6 of Buckley House at Ivanhoe Grammar School appeared on stage in Oz! the musical recently.
From the opening dramatic interpretation of the cyclone, the audience knew they were in for something special and they weren’t disappointed. The timeless Wizard of Oz tale has been adapted into a musical with all the much loved characters joining Dorothy on a journey to meet the great Oz.
Mark Narkowicz, the Head of Music at Buckley House said of the show, “It was perfectly cast and the students were so good in their roles – the sheer professionalism gave the impression they were much older than primary school students.” Students from Early Learning Centre to Year 3 provided the warm up concert, Buckley on Broadway.
