North Ground Redevelopment
30 Sep 2009
Work has begun on the redevelopment of the Ivanhoe Campus North Ground. The redevelopment is part the ongoing A Good Sport development project at Ivanhoe Grammar School, which will see improved sporting facilities at both the Ivanhoe and Plenty Campuses.
The redevelopment involves replacing the current playing field with a synthetic grassed surface as well as the addition of other sporting configurations to extend the School's capacity for Sports and PE classes without diminishing the students' play area. The North Ground is an integral part of both the Buckley House and Ridgeway Campuses and has been the focus of this year's Annual Appeal.
The impact of drought conditions as well as the growing demand for the use of the North Ground has made enhancements to the area a major priority. The completed redevelopment is envisaged to include provisions for sports such as Soccer, Netball, Athletics and Softball and will continue to be an important play and Cadet training area.
