Night of the Notables
During the last week of term, Ivanhoe Grammar School welcomed The Dalai Lama, Charlie Chaplain and Nelson Mandela while Shirley Temple came face to face with Albert Einstein.
The Night of Notables, a program running since 1993 encourages Year 8 students to dress in costume similar to some of history’s greatest names.
As part of their History and English coursework, students undertake extensive research of their chosen subject. By term’s end, they know more than most about their notable character.
On presentation night, students step into the shoes of their character for two hours, taking part in a parade around Buckley Hall and setting up informative displays.
